That's the chickens put away for the night, but that coop needs to be set straight again in the morning or the kids won't be able to open the door. So long as the chooks scratch, it will keep shifting weight and making the door jam...

Looks like the rain isn't going anywhere soon, but hard to say how things might be in Sydney. The apartment is so small, a rainy weekend wouldn't be much fun. I guess we'd have to visit museums, hang with friends in cafes and not at the beach. Sounds exhausting...
Plus packing, though at least the kids can more or less do their own packing, and sorting someone to feed the cat and attend to the chooks...and driving 3 hours on a Friday afternoon sounds painful...
Must check in with Melinda about her brother, make sure the plans are set for Easter, too. Surely one of my many brothers has booked the house already?
Left the classroom a mess this afternoon in my rush to the family group meeting, need to get my clothes ready for the morning so I can be out the door right on eight... Hopefully the girls brought the umbrella home this afternoon, otherwise they'll get soaked tomorrow morning...
Have to print additional bookmarks for the kids whose work was eaten by the laminator...
When will I get to the bookstore? A couple of birthday presents to be bought...
Must grab the bread from the downstairs freezer and send some eggs over to the neighbours...but that can wait until tomorrow.
The writing folders need to be chased up again, too. Some classes are still without notebooks, not really good enough in week five! And writing club meets tomorrow and I've not found a publishing platform for them to use, as I promised I would. That has to happen tonight.
Salad orders for tomorrow no longer happening, so better pack some lunch.
That load of washing I can hear draining won't go on the line...has to go somewhere, though.
My unread email count was 57 last time I checked, must be some that can wait a little longer. Did notice at least two from new schools that can't be ignored, though...
I wonder where the little guy from my class is this week? He hasn't been in and there's so much going on in his world...it makes me worry...
Ugh, need to scan and send birth certificates for the bank accounts. At least once that's done we can put it to bed.
Need to chase up the account for the PL last week and make sure we rebook with our word inquiry mentor/guru. Such a massive mental load but loving it!
Need to reschedule that parent meeting, too.
Really should make the effort and get to Sydney, save the travel-for-work husband the trip for once. And we always love being there...and I can get in a couple of coast walks, maybe sneak out for a pedi...
MUST book the writer's festival, or I'll totally miss out. And that would just be sad.
Last call out to the kids to be in bed...they'll all benefit from an early night if I can stop myself from reading with them for too long.
